Mac J.
O'Brien
Mac’s general corporate and transactional law practice includes an emphasis on regulatory law, primarily as it relates to insurance, health care, and financial institutions. Mac routinely provides legal counsel to insurance companies and health care clients on regulatory matters.
In addition to Mac’s regulatory law practice, he also regularly assists companies with general corporate and transactional matters, including commercial contracting matters, mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations, corporate governance, and entity formations. Mac also frequently assists insurers with their commercial contracting needs, including drafting and negotiating agreements with agencies, marketing organizations, and other entities in the distribution chain.
Among his strengths, Mac counts being detail-oriented and focused on the expectations of his clients. “I’m going to listen and take a comprehensive view of not only the legal issues presented, but how those legal issues impact the client’s long-term goals,” he says. “I want my clients to view me as a partner who is invested in their long-term success—not just another lawyer they call from time to time.”
