Nyemaster Goode is seeking a motivated associate attorney with 1-to-3 years of experience in litigation to join the firm’s Litigation Department. Candidate must be proactive, detail-oriented, and organized. Shareholder-track opportunities are available for qualified candidates. All inquiries are confidential. Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and writing.
- Draft pleadings, briefs, and legal memoranda.
- Manage case dockets.
- Assist with discovery and document review.
- Utilize trial advocacy skills in depositions, hearings, oral arguments, and trials.
- Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law.
- Comply with all legal standards, regulations, and rules of professional conduct.
Qualifications:
- Juris doctorate from accredited law school. Academic transcript and class rank requested.
- Licensed in Iowa or pass the Iowa Bar Exam within 1 year (or waive under reciprocity).
- 1 to 3 years of litigation experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and advocacy skills.
- High level of professionalism and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment.
- Technological proficiency in legal research tools.
