Nyemaster Goode, P.C. is seeking a contract attorney to join its growing, dynamic litigation team on a part-time basis (up to 30-hours per week).
Responsibilities:
- Draft legal documents and memoranda for clients and other attorneys at the firm.
- Provide legal review and insight in reviewing documents in complex litigation matters to determine relevance, responsiveness, and privilege.
- Assist with the firm’s discovery efforts related to electronically-stored information.
- Comply with all legal standards, regulations, and rules of professional conduct.
- Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law.
Qualifications:
- Juris doctorate from accredited law school.
- Previous legal experience.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong work ethic.
- Ability to commit to regular part-time employment up to thirty hours per week, with a commitment to work at least one day a week from one of the firm’s offices (in Ames, Des Moines, or Cedar Rapids).
