Coleman Elected a Fellow of the American College of Mortgage Attorneys
June 18, 2026
Nyemaster Goode attorney Neal A. Coleman was selected as a Fellow in the American College of Mortgage Attorneys (ACMA). While the membership is effective immediately, he will be formally inducted into the College at its Annual Meeting on September 18, 2026 in Santa Barbara, California.
Formed in 1974, ACMA is comprised of approximately 530 lawyers in North America who are highly experienced in real estate finance and mortgage lending transactions. ACMA Fellows share a commitment to giving back to their profession, improving and reforming laws and procedures affecting real estate secured transactions, and raising the level of professionalism of lawyers practicing in this area.
Fellows have distinguished themselves as practitioners in the field of real estate finance law through their skills and practice experience, bar association activities, lecturing, authoring articles and program materials, participation in the legislative process, and writing briefs or arguing cases that are significant to real estate lending transactions.
“I am honored to be selected as a Fellow of the American College of Mortgage Attorneys,” Coleman said. “ACMA brings together some of the leading practitioners in real estate finance law, and I look forward to collaborating with colleagues from across North America who are committed to advancing our profession. The knowledge, perspectives, and relationships gained through this fellowship will enhance the service I provide to our clients as they navigate increasingly complex commercial lending and real estate transactions.”
With a practice concentrated in the areas of commercial real estate and corporate law, Coleman primarily works on commercial loan transactions, representing companies across the country that lend money secured by commercial properties. He helps lenders negotiate the terms of the loans, drafts the necessary documentation, and performs other due diligence behind the transactions.
Coleman is the fourth active Nyemaster attorney named as an ACMA fellow, joining James Wine, Hallie Still-Caris, and Mary Katherine Nelson.
