Dierenfeld Moderates 2018 Global Insurance Symposium Panel
May 4, 2018
Paula Dierenfeld of Nyemaster Goode, P.C., who serves as the executive director of the Federation of Iowa Insurers, moderated a panel discussion on the topic of “Trends in Life/Health Underwriting” at the 2018 Global Insurance Symposium, held in Des Moines April 24-26.
Panel members consisted of senior underwriters who shared their views on the current state of, future activities relating to, and anticipated changes in life and health underwriting.
This was the fifth year of the Symposium, and the event was attended by over 650 participants, from over 20 countries and from nearly all 50 states. Attendees of widely varied backgrounds represented a range of businesses, all with a common interest and involvement in the insurance industry.
The number of attendees at the Symposium has increased each year, and the diversity of the participants has likewise continued to expand. The success of this annual Symposium demonstrates the receptive, progressive business climate that exists for the insurance industry in Des Moines and in Iowa generally.
Nyemaster Goode is pleased to have been a sponsor of the Symposium since its inception, and members of the firm remain active on the Symposium Planning Committee.
