Nyemaster attorney Paula Dierenfeld has served as mayor of Johnston, Iowa, since 2008, making her the longest-serving woman mayor in the state of Iowa.
As part of a Women's History Month series, Des Moines’ channel 5 news spoke with Paula about her path to politics, her role as a female leader, and the special significance she sees in “showing little boys and little girls that women can be leaders too”.
