The IAM Patent 1000 is commonly regarded as the definitive resource for those seeking to identify world-class, private practice patent expertise and includes 50 country-specific chapters analyzing local patent professional services markets.

IAM awarded Nyemaster its highest “Gold” rating and praised the team of “strategic IP litigation and patent strategists who are commended for being very supporting and forward looking in terms of their commitment to entrepreneurs.” Nyemaster is the only firm in the state of Iowa to be given IAM’s top-level “Gold” rating.

Ryan Carter was added to the IAM Patent 1000 group of recommended individuals this year. IAM noted he is “looked to by players from a variety of industries and possesses particular expertise in IP related to chemical processing.”

Todd Van Thomme has a diverse practice primarily focused on partnering with both startups and larger clients to identify and collaborate on design patents as well as mechanical, chemical, computer science, nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, and food science-related utility patents/intellectual property. IAM hailed his “expertise in drafting, filing and prosecuting patents.”

Allison Kerndt has significant IP litigation experience and advises clients ranging from start-ups to multinational corporations on issues related to the management of their intellectual property portfolios.  IAM called her “exceptionally talented at what she does” and praised her ability to become a partner to clients as they work through their IP issues.

Jeff Harty represents companies and inventors on both sides of IP disputes and has tried IP litigation cases in jurisdictions across the country. IAM lauded Harty’s ability to provide “practical and strategic advice throughout the full patent lifecycle” and called him a “go-to attorney for strategic claim sets, early case assessment and litigation counsel.”

The IAM Patent 1000 is compiled through an extensive research process conducted over five months. Analysts interview numerous attorneys, patent attorneys and in-house counsel to gather market intelligence on the leading players in the field. Individuals qualify for a listing in the IAM Patent 1000 when they receive sufficient positive feedback from peers and clients with knowledge of their practice and the market within which they operate.
