Nebraska-Based Jeremy T. Christensen Joins Nyemaster Goode’s Established ESOP Team
October 7, 2026
Nyemaster Goode, P.C. announced today that Jeremy T. Christensen joined the firm as a shareholder, expanding its established employee stock ownership plan practice and broader employee benefits capabilities. Christensen, who is licensed in both Nebraska and Iowa, will continue to be based in Omaha.
Christensen advises employers on employee benefits and executive compensation matters, including employee stock ownership plans, qualified retirement plans, fiduciary responsibilities, plan corrections and compliance with the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974. He also counsels clients on nonqualified deferred compensation arrangements, equity compensation programs, public employer retirement systems, and health and welfare benefits.
“Jeremy brings substantial employee benefits experience and a strong understanding of the legal and regulatory issues affecting ESOP companies,” said Angela C. Brick, shareholder and leader of Nyemaster’s ESOP practice. “His addition builds on the work of our established ESOP team and strengthens our ability to advise business owners, companies, trustees and other stakeholders throughout the employee-ownership lifecycle.”
Nyemaster’s multidisciplinary ESOP team assists clients with the formation, financing and ongoing administration of employee stock ownership plans, as well as business succession planning and ESOP-related transactions. The firm draws on attorneys across its corporate, mergers and acquisitions, finance, tax and employee benefits litigation practices to address the interconnected issues that arise in employee-owned companies.
Christensen’s practice complements those capabilities. In addition to advising on retirement-plan design, documentation and fiduciary obligations, he represents clients before the Internal Revenue Service and U.S. Department of Labor and serves as benefits counsel in mergers and acquisitions. His clients have included businesses of all sizes, governmental employers, tax-exempt organizations, hospitals and third-party administrators.
“Nyemaster has developed a strong ESOP practice supported by attorneys across several disciplines,” Christensen said. “I look forward to joining that team, helping clients navigate complex employee benefits matters and expanding the firm’s ability to serve employee-owned companies and other organizations throughout Nebraska and Iowa as well as nationally.”
Christensen’s presence in Omaha provides the firm with increased visibility in Nebraska and western Iowa and complements capabilities of other Nyemaster attorneys who are licensed to practice in Nebraska.
“Jeremy is an accomplished attorney with deep roots in Nebraska and an excellent reputation for client service,” said Benjamin Roach, Nyemaster’s managing shareholder. “His experience makes him a natural addition to our ESOP and employee benefits practices and the right person to help establish Nyemaster’s presence in Nebraska.”
Christensen earned his J.D. from Creighton University School of Law, where he served on the Creighton Law Review, and his M.B.A. from Creighton University’s College of Business. He received his bachelor’s degree in finance and real estate, magna cum laude, from the University of South Carolina. He is admitted to practice law in Iowa and Nebraska.
Christensen is a member of The ESOP Association and has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America® for Employee Benefits (ERISA) Law. He also is active in Nebraska’s civic and legal communities, including service on the boards of MENTOR Nebraska and the Nebraska Legal Diversity Council, and was recently named to the 2027 class of Greater Omaha Chamber’s Leadership Omaha program.
