Sweeney Honored by Osage Education Foundation

Nyemaster Goode attorney Coreen K. Sweeney was honored with a 2022 Distinguished Alumni Award by the Osage Education Foundation. The annual ceremony honors Osage High School graduates who have achieved outstanding success in their professional lives.

Sweeney is currently serving as Chair of the firm and is a member of the Litigation Department where she handles both insurance litigation and workers’ compensation matters. She is a past president of the Iowa Association of Workers’ Compensation Lawyers and has held multiple leadership positions in the Workers’ Compensation Section of the Iowa State Bar Association.

Named to The Best Lawyers of America® since 2013, she was named “Lawyer of the Year for Workers’ Compensation Law for Employers” in Des Moines in 2013. She is a graduate of Drake University Law School and holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Iowa.

The Osage, Iowa, native competed in volleyball and track in high school, was a National Honor Society member and a class officer.
