Three Nyemaster Attorneys Present to National Real Estate Law Organizations

Three members of Nyemaster Goode’s nationally recognized real estate department recently spoke at prominent real estate law seminars.

 

Mary Katherine Nelson was a panelist in for an American Bar Association webinar on “Title Insurance 101: A Primer for Real Estate Attorneys.” The panel explored title insurance and its role in commercial real estate transactions.

 

Neal A. Coleman and Kathleen K. Law each presented at the 35th annual CLE conference of the American Bar Association’s Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Section (RPTE) in Washington, D.C. The RPTE has more than 25,000 members and is a leading national forum for attorneys in real estate and trust and estate law.

 

Coleman joined attorneys from Maryland and the District of Columbia to present on “Commercial Title Endorsements: What Do you Really Need?”  The program explored an overview of common title endorsements and looked at best practices for evaluating and negotiating endorsement coverage.

 

Law presented with attorneys from New York and D.C. on “Going Green without Hulking Out: Green Energy Commercial Leases Benefits and Practical Tips.” With green energy leases a relatively new construct, the session looked at how landlords and tenants can benefit from such leases, gave updates on current legislation, and provided practical tips for drafting such agreements.
