Lytle
After nearly 40 years of active practice, Steve Lytle transitioned to Of Counsel status in 2013. Steve continues to assist Nyemaster firm lawyers and clients in a consulting role when needed to serve essential client interests on issues within his long-standing areas of expertise. He continues to serve as a family law mediator and accepts referrals throughout the state of Iowa.
In his litigation practice, Steve focused on representation of both husbands and wives in large asset cases involving complex business, property, and transactional matters; spousal support issues; division of executive compensation and benefits, including bonus arrangements, stock grants, options, and pension and retirement assets; and related divorce tax issues. His practice included representation of international clients, including cases arising under the Hague Convention.
Steve served on the Supreme Court Child Support Guideline Review Committee in 2003–2004, 2007–2008, 2011–2012, and 2015–2017. He co-chaired the committee in 2007–2008 and again in 2011–2012. He was a member of the Iowa Supreme Court Family Law Case Processing Reform Task Force from 2015 to 2016.
