Summary: Nyemaster is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Real Estate/Lending Legal Assistant.
Nyemaster is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Real Estate/Lending Legal Assitant to support attorneys in a wide range of real estate, lending and transactional matters. This role plays a critical part in managing deal flow, coordinating due diligence, and supporting all phases of lending and real estate transactions. The ideal candidate is highly organized, intellectually curious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Essential Functions:
- Assist with all phases of lending and real estate transactions, including due diligence, closing preparation, and post-closing deliverables
- Organize, review, and analyze due diligence materials, including title commitments, surveys, organizational documents, and lien search reports
- Prepare and maintain closing checklists; track key deadlines and transaction milestones
- Draft and assemble loan and closing documents, including signature packets, closing books, and post-closing deliverables
- Assist with drafting and filing UCCs
- Coordinate with clients, attorneys, lenders, brokers, title companies, and other third parties to gather and track required documentation
- Support preparation of loan and closing documents by incorporating deal-specific information, as directed
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree required; Paralegal certificate preferred
- 2+ years of experience in real estate or financing law, corporate law, or business transactions (law firm or in-house)
- Exposure to due diligence processes; experience with title, survey, or lien review a plus
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with document management systems preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
