Keith Duffy Admitted as Shareholder

Nyemaster Goode, P.C., is pleased to announce that Keith Duffy has been admitted to the firm as a shareholder effective January 1, 2018.
Keith is a member of the firm’s Litigation group, and his practice includes the defense of claims of bad faith related to the handling of workers’ compensation submissions. Keith has represented insurance carriers, employers, and administrators accused of bad faith denial of benefits in state and federal court and has also represented clients before the Iowa Workers’ Compensation Commissioner. His practice also includes the defense of uninsured/underinsured motorist claims, other personal injury claims, and commercial litigation.
In addition, Keith represents clients in creditor rights and bankruptcy disputes involving the collection of a variety of secured and unsecured debts, including the collection of non-consumer civil judgments. In that regard, Keith is teaching Bankruptcy and Debt Collection as an adjunct instructor at Drake University Law School.
Prior to joining the firm, Keith served as a law clerk to Justice Bruce Zager of the Iowa Supreme Court and to the Hon. James E. Gritzner, Chief Judge of the Southern District of Iowa. Keith earned his law degree with highest honors from Drake University Law School and was elected to the Order of the Coif. During law school, Keith was Research Editor of the Drake Law Review, participatedon Drake’s National Moot Court team, served as a research assistant to Professor Neil Hamilton, and earned the Food and Agricultural Law Certificate.
