Nonprofit Law: Newly Published Book

November 8, 2017

Bill Boyd, a member of the firm's Business, Finance & Real Estate group, is the editor of Nonprofit Law: A Practical Guide to Legal Issues for Nonprofit Organizations, a book recently published by the American Bar Association.

The book was developed from a series of webinars sponsored by the Nonprofit Organizations Committee of the ABA Business Law Section.  Like the webinar series, the book presents basic information and guidance relating to legal issues that nonprofit organizations commonly encounter.

Boyd’s previous publications include the third edition of the Guidebook for Directors of Nonprofit Corporations, the Iowa Nonprofit Resource Center’s Legal Guide for Iowa Nonprofits, and articles in Business Law Today entitled “Lawyers' Service on Nonprofit Boards: Managing the Risks of an Important Community Activity,” and “Mergers, Acquisitions, and Affiliations Involving Nonprofits: Not Typical M&A Transactions.”
