Nyemaster Goode Admits O’Brien as Shareholder

Mac J. O’Brien has been admitted to the firm as a shareholder effective January 1, 2024.

O’Brien practices in the Business, Finance & Real Estate group. In his general corporate and transactional law practice he regularly assists clients with a wide variety of business law matters, including commercial contracting matters, mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations, corporate governance, entity formations, and buy-sell agreements. In addition, he also advises health care and insurance (life, health and property and casualty) clients on a wide range of regulatory and compliance matters, including insurance regulation, licensing, Anti-Kickback Statute, and HIPAA.

A graduate of Drake University Law School with highest honors, O’Brien received his undergraduate degree from the University of Northern Iowa where he was a captain of the football team. He is a member of the executive board of directors of the Iowa Sports Foundation and serves as a member of the planning committee for the Global Insurance Symposium. O’Brien has been named to Best Lawyers “Ones to Watch” since 2021 and Great Plains Super Lawyers since 2022.
