Nyemaster Goode Remembers Drew Tillotson, 1930-2017

Nyemaster Goode mourns the passing of long-time partner Drew R. Tillotson on June 28, 2017. Drew served in the Navy during the Korean War and then earned his undergraduate degree from Drake University. He continued to serve in the Naval Reserve for 30 years and attained the rank of Captain, during which time Drew graduated Order of the Coif from Drake University Law School and served as the president of the Student Bar Association.

After public service as a trial attorney for the Internal Revenue Service, Drew entered private practice and joined Nyemaster Goode in 1965, where he served as head of the tax department for many years and until his retirement. Drew was a frequent contributor of tax-related articles and was the author of The Better Homes & Gardens Income Tax Guide for eight years.
 
Drew’s wry wit and fine legal mind were cherished at Nyemaster Goode, and he will be missed by his partners and friends at the firm. The firm sends its condolences to Drew’s family.
