Nyemaster Shares Insight at Iowa State Bar Association Annual Convention

Iowa’s largest law firm celebrated its centennial by being a vibrant participant at the annual meeting of the Iowa State Bar Association, June 18-20 in Des Moines.
Nyemaster Goode attorneys shared their insights in multiple sessions across the three-day event. The firm also sponsored the ISBA’s first-evening Joint Presidents’ Reception which was enjoyed by more than 200 attorneys, judges, and public officials from across Iowa.
Nyemaster featured speakers during the annual convention were:
- Bruce Baker and Dwayne Vande Krol, who provided a “Tax Update for Corporate Counsel.”
- Retired Nyemaster attorney and past ISBA president Jay Eaton, who participated in a panel discussion and question-and-answer session providing “Practical Knowledge for Retirement.”
- Rebecca A. Miller, who gave “An Overview of the New Tax Law.”
- Leslie Behaunek, who spoke on a panel about “Gender Matters: Practical Solutions for Tackling Bias and Unprofessional Conduct in the Iowa Legal Profession.”
Nyemaster attorney Kathleen Law served as co-chair of the ISBA’s annual meeting.
