Ethan
Olson
“Thinking about all the different ways you can approach a legal problem is like solving a puzzle.”
With a focus on labor and employment law and insurance defense, Ethan Olson understands the ways that the law touches on his client’s business every day. The pervasiveness of the law is what drew Ethan to his profession in the first place. “The law encompasses such a breadth of topics, I knew it would interest and challenge me,” he says.
Client-forward thinking drives Ethan, and obtaining the optimal outcome for his clients and assisting them through difficult or complex legal situations is the most rewarding part of his practice. In employment cases, Ethan represents employers with a focus on civil rights issues, discrimination, and harassment. Recognizing the ways that the human element of his clients intersects with the business element, Ethan enjoys the varied factual scenarios that his clients bring to him.
Ethan is a former law clerk to a federal judge, and during that time he learned what makes a case persuasive to the courts. Now, in his litigation practice, Ethan puts that perspective to work for his clients to help shepherd his cases from their inception to their end. He uses the persuasive legal writing and research skills refined during his clerkship every day in his practice.
Using a problem-solving approach, Ethan is passionate about doing high-quality work for his clients. Whether that is assisting his clients in avoiding litigation, or guiding them through litigation once it arises, Ethan uses all the resources at his disposal and seeks to collaborate with his clients to obtain the best outcome—from both a legal and business standpoint. “I care about doing things the right way,” he says.
