Longtime Jefferson, Iowa, attorney Joel Williams has joined Nyemaster Goode’s Ames office and will be a shareholder in Iowa’s largest law firm.
Williams had been an attorney with Wilcox Law Firm in Jefferson since 2007. He has a broad legal practice including business and corporate matters, real estate, taxation, estate planning, non-profit corporations, and probate and trust administration.
“Joel’s diverse experience across many areas of the law is a great fit with the type of legal matters we handle in our Ames office,” said Brian Humke, a shareholder and member of Nyemaster’s Ames office. “We are excited he chose Nyemaster Goode and are thrilled to be working with him.”
Williams joins Humke, Eric Eide and David Benson as Ames-based attorneys at Nyemaster Goode.
A native of Carroll, Iowa, Williams has a J.D. from the University of Iowa College of Law and dual undergraduate degrees in psychology and finance from Iowa. Prior to joining the Wilcox firm, Williams spent three years with Ingersoll & Associates in North Carolina. He is a past president of both the Jefferson Area Chamber of Commerce (2010) and the Jefferson Rotary Club (2016), and is the current vice president of Greene County Economic Development.
